Tätigkeitsbereiche

As a PhD research student, my work is centred on the development of sustainable and inclusive strategies within the agricultural sector of developing nations, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia. My research examines the nexus of agricultural policy and market dynamics with a view to supporting the empowerment and integration of smallholder farmers into agri-food supply chains. The overarching objective is to identify and enhance pathways that facilitate the economic and social upliftment of smallholders, thereby enabling their access to both domestic and international markets.

A central aspect of my research is sustainable agronomic planning, which addresses the urgent issues of climate change and resource scarcity in order to guarantee long-term agricultural productivity. By means of a comprehensive analysis of agri-food supply chains, I develop models with the objective of fostering equitable market access, which in turn contributes to the alleviation of poverty and the assurance of food security in rural communities. My approach is grounded in field studies and is designed to capture the nuances of agricultural communities, enabling the creation of context-specific and impactful solutions. Ultimately, my work seeks to contribute to the development of a resilient agricultural sector that addresses the economic, environmental, and social demands of developing regions.
